Eight-Point Star Lattice Panel

The pattern comes from a tiling of octagons and squares with lines crossing at the edge midpoints, the classical method behind many Islamic star patterns. The strips are 1.8 mm wide and every cell has softly rounded corners.

Frame it over a contrasting card (navy is included as an optional backing), or use it as a lantern or window panel. It also cuts well in 2 mm plywood on a laser.
