About this design
This pattern is adapted from The Pink Cloud by Henri-Edmond Cross (French, 1856–1910), c. 1896 (oil on canvas). It is in the collection of The Cleveland Museum of Art, which releases the image under CC0 (public domain). The museum notes: "Due to his diagnosis of persistent rheumatism, Henri-Edmond Cross left Paris in 1891 and settled in the seaside village of Saint-Clair on the Mediterranean coast where the climate was more temperate."
The chart uses 27 DMC colours and 19,950 full cross stitches. On 14-count Aida it measures 27.2 x 24.1 cm (10.7 x 9.5 in).
